Remaining in Christ

Extracted From Evangelist Tony Brady's Tea with Tone's Podcast

Praise God. Well, good evening, dear friends. I thought I'd have a cup of tea with my friends. Is that okay? Praise God, just poured myself out a fresh cup of tea.

How are you? I hope you’re, okay?

John 15 7. Look at this. Are you with me? You got your drink with you? Let's have a nice little chat. How's that? Amen And Jesus said, “if you remain in me” but we can stop there.

We can stop there. Remember, what does it mean to remain in Christ? Well, it's one thing getting there and it's another thing remaining in there.   You know like everything we start off well, now it's not about starting off well because when you fall in love with someone do you remember that time when you fell in love you were in the clouds She was singing, you were dancing.

You was dreaming about them. You couldn't wait till you got home to see them. You're on the phone to them. Hello. He he ha ha and a few chuggles and a laugh because you were in that wonderful place of being in love.

But friends, it's got to carry on. Christ, He died for you to be continually in love with him. He doesn't want you to be one foot out, one foot in, in, out, in, out, shake it all about.

You do the Okie -Kokie and you turn around. You know that's a song for someone who usually doesn't know. It's called the Okie -Kokie.

So, friends, we've got to remain in him. And it is a chore because the devil will try everything possible to knock you off being filled with joy. He will try to knock that. He comes to what? Steal. That's what he comes for. He wants to steal your joy. How can he steal your joy?

He can steal your joy if you allow it to be stolen, if you allow it to be stolen. So, he comes to steal what God has given to you. I mean, it's just beautiful. Christ died to be in this beautiful joy, beautiful peace. And the Lord says here, we just read, he says, remain in me, stay there, friends. And the Bible says, I think it's Proverbs, he said, guard your hearts. Now, whatever comes in here will affect you, for good or bad. All of a sudden, everything's a wonderful day, until you get one of those tickets, what our friends, the traffic wardens, put on your car. They're only doing their job, they said.

But all of a sudden your whole day comes crashing down. You've got a ticket of at least 60 quid.

Like if you've got it and threw it in the gutter You've got to allow your heart to stay firm to stay strong and not to let it to be affected. I know it's a little bit of a pain, but it's when the pain comes. It's when the storms come that you've got to stay firm and not allow your zeal and your joy to be stolen. Don't let it get stolen because you want to be in this freedom. When you allow your heart to be stolen it literally brings you into a place and then he can say I've stolen his heart and her heart.

Praise God. So, you've got to protect your heart and your heart is only affected because it comes in your ear gate first and goes into the mind and your mind says right, what should I do with this? Shall I dwell on my parking ticket? Shall I dwell on my problems? And then what happens is if you dwell on the wrong stuff, it literally digests and goes into your heart and it starts to pull you down, right?

The deceiver says I will send them a touch of my anxiety. Spirit of anxiety touch that brother and sister right now. They've come to a place where they're anxious send anxiety right now. I send you to get inside them and really mess them up.

Hey spirit of depression as well, come over here. There's one here. What's already taken the bait. Come on get in and torment them and we get you into a state of depression a state of worry. Oh, no, what's happening in my life? Praise God, but then Jesus Christ comes along. He says come to me just come over here and I will knock all those spirits out of you. He said, but I'll tell you what to do. How Lord how can I do it? Well, just listen to my word and then I will give you what to do is all in my word Just follow it and you'll be set free.

Who the son sets free, he's free. I promise you I haven't had no alcohol. I'm filled with a different spirit, my dear brothers and sisters, and you don't need alcohol to make you happy. There's a spirit of zeal, zest and abundance of peace and joy that doesn't come out of a bottle. It comes with the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Someone receive this tonight.

So where were we? Remain in me stay there Guard your hearts. Don't let it be taken away because seriously, I know I have a bit of fun, but it's true and I'm just telling you the truth. That's what I'm doing down here now I bring all my stuff before him and I tell you what when you do that.You were in a place of liberty and freedom Seriously, and that's what's beautiful people see it's when you know the truth. Know that Christ will just flush everything out and just give you such a an anointing zeal. Anointing peace anointing of his presence. If you don't believe that you won't go and get it

See, it's only when you're hungry and thirsty that you go and get stuff because you're hungry and thirsty and you know, If I have say if I got a sugar rush, I've got to get one of those, I don't know a doughnut.  With icing and sprinkles I know that my sugar rush will be completely subdued when I have it this lovely fresh doughnut I'm tormenting myself.

Do I have any doughnuts upstairs? No. No, we haven't friends. Praise God. I hope you've enjoyed this evening with me. We've got to keep our hearts. Amen and so then the Lord will just keep you and hold you just keep coming to him.

Keep offloading on to him because you're not to hold anything It's all done by the blood and the forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
